6 week old puppies; outside for first time

September 28, 2008

The puppies first outside romp in their front yard. Here is Gracie’s whelper helper and chief of puppy socialization. Her job is to make sure the puppies are ready for kids, and I think she has done a wonderful job. Along with the other co-whelper helpers of the family. Playing with puppies, it is a tough job, but someone has to do it…

This weeks update..

September 10, 2008

Goodness, we are busy!

Chief and Gracie’s litter is 4 weeks old; we are very excited about this litter, as it is the first Liberty Labradoodle “true” direction; that of our Libby’s offspring, Gracie; and the boy we were waiting for our Chief…. We are thrilled about this litter; and our program direction. We continue to watch for the right family and assistive puppy of the litter. The Kizers have been beyond stunning parents (both kiddos and puppies); and they are a perfect ” foster family” for the itty bitty’s.

We are lucky to have Liberty Belle’s Cinnamon; call name Cinnie here today She had a play date; and tomorrow her hips and elbows will be tested. She is a rare DNA color; the brown and red along with the structure, health testing we hope for. She and Chief are getting to know each other; although Chief thinks they should know each other much better. She remembers growing up here I think; and is comfortable on Jeff’s lap and with the other puppies. Since she was raised to sleep in bed with her owners, you know; we have to honor that. :)

Cinnie has been playing with Blossom; who is waiting to head to Vegas; as the flights are embargoed due to heat. She also has been visiting with Grandma Libby and mom Belle. She is such a good combo of Belle and her lines along with her other lines of Yogi. I await her testing with “baited breath” but will be what it is meant to be. She is healthy, happy and makes her family and others happy; what’s not to love?

The current litter; and last of this year had some four week photos done; I shall be posting it tomorrow; but here is a glimpse.. Gracie and the puppies were being moved to another area;from the whelp box to the romping room, and the kiddos got to hold their puppies during the transition.  We know we have three spoken for; but still try to figure out the perfect Hawaii puppy. We should announce soon once we figure it out. The photo is the Kizers sans Dad, with Jeff standing in while taking a call……Enjoy!
