Echo and Henna update

November 29, 2008

Echo and Henna have had much interest. As I try to update my webpages with snowflakes for this holiday season, I thought I would let others know what is in store for their life.

It looks like Echo is heading to the Netherlands pending her final breeder testing in a week. It will then take us about 3 weeks to get the results. She will be owned and carefully bred by Carolien of Australian Labradoodles and live with the family pictured below. It has been fun chatting with Carolien (and using Google translator to speak terrible Dutch). She has the good of the dog in her heart and the most amazing cows; you must take a look! Once Jeff and I move, I want one of those cows!

I look forward to working with her in the future. If Echo does not pass her breeder testing she will make her home with Kenneth and Sandy. For their patience, Kenneth and Sandy will be rewarded pick of companion pet puppy from a future litter.

Henna was wanted by several but I was waiting for my specific person I had in mind for her that will be perfect for her. Well, yes, I had given up, and was chatting with a breeder who wanted her when I was contacted by Sue in Hawaii. I think this is a perfect match for Henna and Sue. I look forward to meeting her in the near future. Henna (and Zeus/Casey) will both be heading to the islands in late April.

Leo’s first email to Grandma..

November 15, 2008

Dear Vicky and Jeff!

Oh my god – he is the best! And he is sooo darn cute! The kids are fawning all over him – no one wanted to go to school, of course -

He did great and is doing great (for the 3 hours he’s been here).  Here’s a rundown:

Xxx picked him up, and he was wagging his tail and happy.

He did wet the blanket (I was unsure of how to clean it without wanting to wash away the remnants of your home from it).  He  slept in the car ride back here, and then woke up and met everyone.  He then wet the floor a few times during this meeting….We took him out and he came in and ate all his breakfast and drank.  Then the 2 older ones had to leave for school, and me and xxx took him out again for a longer walk  – and he pooped! – then we went around the block and came in a crated him, we put him in the crate about 5 minutes ago, and he feel asleep (after a few small wimpers).

He was up though for the 3 hours since he got here, so now he can nap while I play tennis (xxxx doesn’t want to leave him and thinks we can bring his crate to the tennis babysitting room and they wouldn’t mind at all).

He is so soft and lovely and has been giving everyone lots of kisses, and not nipping at all.

Thank you for our beautiful boy (maybe I should write to the Obama’s and tell them so they’ll have an easier decision to take Echo).

Will send you more pictures when I get back, have to run….

Thank you!

xxx

Leo’s Forever Home…

November 15, 2008

If a picture is worth a thousand words, here is a million. This is why I wait and make sure they go where they are meant to be. Leo and family all are very happy. This is what it is all about…

Oh Goodie! A Latte-gram (AKA, Latte Update)…

November 11, 2008

Hi Vicky,

I have been meaning to write for some time to thank you… as we were moving and things got very crazy for us and I really got behind on things.  Susan and I bought a house here in xxxx.  Here is our new address:

xxxxxxx

All of our other numbers stayed the same.  I’m not sure Latte was very pleased with the move at first because of all of the changes:

More grass in the old yard

Jim had to move his office downtown (she lost her favorite hang-out)

Lots of strange new smells and sounds (we learned to bark more)

I’m trying to compensate with lots of trips to her favorite park.

I know I keep saying this but here goes again – she is the sweetest creature I have ever seen.  She is smart, intuitive, loving and a good sport.  She plays with all dogs large and small and brings joy to us every hour we are with her.

I hope things are going well with you and your family.

Thanks again.

Jim and Susan
